Video of the Week: BSP Training Session

So, the blog post about the video of the week comes a day late.  Sorry, I had to travel all day yesterday.  The video captured my training partner Jeff and me during one of our repetition effort days for our experimental pre-combine program.  Even though the day was based around training for reps, we added in a few sets of bench throws to train for some added explosion and excite our central nervous system for the rest of the session.  They also helped to keep me from running head first into a wall, because anyone that knows me knows that I absolutely despise rep days!  Either way, the session went great and despite the high reps Jeff and I both recovered well for our max effort upper-body day yesterday.  My camera battery aslo died, so you didn’t get to see curls and pushdowns to exhaustion.  My triceps felt like someone dumped gasoline on them, lit them with a match and roasted marshallows.  Why marshmallows?

Here is the format for the workout:

A) Bench Throws- 3 x 3

B1) DB Bench- 4 x 15

B2) Face Pulls- 3 x 15

C) 1 Arm Row- 1 x 8, 1 x 30 (felt like I might poop myself)

D1) DB Curls- 3 x 15

D2) Pushdowns- 1 x exhaust (606)
